NHW Whitehorse Activities

NHW Whitehorse has about 30 events throughout the year along with a multitude of Local Area Meetings that the community is more than welcome to attend.

While we are rebuilding our website, we have listed all our events on our Facebook page (click here).

Some of our activities include -

  • Delivering newsletters to around 30,000 residences and businesses most months of the year

  • Delivering Police produced brochures in identified crime 'hot spots' within days of the issues arising (this usually occurs a couple of times a month)

  • Providing one-way security screws for the community (for the cost of a Gold Coin donation you can collect a set of screws from either the Forest Hill or Box Hill Police Stations)

  • Safe Plate Days - two or three times a year, NHW works with Victoria Police and Bunnings Box Hill and Vermont South to 'set up camp' in the car park where the public can visit us and we will install the one-way security screws to their number plates for a donation and a few minutes of their time

  • Local Area Community Meetings - these are held monthly and bi-monthly all over Whitehorse and the public is more than welcome to attend.  These are generally informal in nature although there is sometimes a little bit of 'business' to be done.  Please visit our Local Areas and Newsletters page (click here) for the details of these meetings.

  • Annual Community Meeting - a once-a-year meeting held in Blackburn for the whole community with senior Victoria Police Members and a keynote speaker on a topic of interest (ie. 2018 we will be having a speaker re eSafety)
